Anther commonly refers to the part of the flower that releases pollen. The stamen is the male sexual organ of a flower and comprises the anther and filament. Cannabis plants are dioecious, which means that male flowers and female flowers are not found on the same individuals. The exception is plants that have been induced to be hermaphrodites.
